What video platforms are supported?
We support YouTube, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Videos, Twitter/X Videos, and most platforms supported by yt-dlp. Just paste the public video URL.
Is my data sent to external AI services?
No. We use OpenAI's Whisper model running locally on our own servers. Your audio is never sent to OpenAI, Google, or any third-party API. It's 100% self-hosted.
How long does transcription take?
Typically 30 seconds to 3 minutes depending on video length and server load. Short clips (under 5 minutes) are usually done within a minute.
What languages are supported?
Whisper supports 99+ languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Portuguese, and many more. The language is automatically detected.
Can I transcribe Zoom meeting recordings?
If your Zoom recording is hosted on a publicly accessible URL, yes! Otherwise, you can upload the video file directly (coming soon) or use a direct link to the recording.
Do I need to create an account?
